Speech-Language Therapy

Treatment and evaluations for preschoolers and young adolescents with a wide range of developmental delays and speech and language disorders, including expressive/receptive language delays, childhood apraxia of speech, articulation/phonological disorders, and social communication challenges.   My approach is rooted in a deep passion for working with neurodivergent communities and includes sensory and co-regulation supports as essential components of therapy. Sessions are play-based, individualized, and focused on functional outcomes that support real-world communication.Sessions are play-based, individualized, and focused on functional outcomes that support real-world communication.

Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC)

Comprehensive AAC support, including assessment, trialing, and intervention for children with complex communication needs. Services focus on modeling language, promoting autonomy, and embedding communication within everyday routines. A strong emphasis is placed on supporting parents and caregivers, with collaborative planning involving families, schools, and other providers as an integral part of the process.

Feeding Therapy

Feeding support for children who are selective, anxious, or hesitant eaters, as well as those with developmental, sensory, or medical challenges impacting feeding. I use the Get Permission Approach, developed by Marsha Dunn Klein and colleagues, which is grounded in the belief that every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and in control during mealtimes. Therapy focuses on building trust, honoring a child’s internal cues, and supporting their natural curiosity and motivation to eat—without pressure or coercion. This approach often goes hand in hand with sensory regulation and co-regulation strategies to help children feel calm, connected, and ready to explore food at their own pace.

Parent Support

Coaching for families to build confidence and consistency in supporting their child’s communication and feeding development. This includes modeling strategies, co-planning goals, and offering practical tools parents can use at home. Emphasis is placed on attunement, connection, and building shared understanding of a child’s strengths and needs.

Assistive Technology (AT) Services

Collaborative AT support to help schools and organizations identify and implement tools that enhance communication, participation, and access for students with diverse learning and communication needs. Services include classroom-based consultations, staff training, visual support systems, integration of AAC tools, and recommendations for technology that aligns with student goals and IEPs. Emphasis is placed on practical, developmentally appropriate strategies that can be embedded into daily routines and instructional settings.
